How can I safely burn my files to Blu-ray, DVD or CD?
1. Click feature
Select Burn Data > New Disc.
2. Select files and folders
- Click “Add” to open the file chooser dialog.
- Then, left-click the file/folder you wish to add and click “Add”.
- You can repeat this step as many times as you need to add additional files/folders.
- Click “Close” when you’re done.
3. Confirm selection
Click “Next” to select the disc recorder that will be used.
4. Select disc recorder and start writing
Select your disc recorder and insert a blank disc (Blu-ray, DVD or CD). Then, click “Write” to start burning the disc.
5. Remove Blu-ray, DVD or CD – done!

How to copy DVDs in Ashampoo Burning Studio Free?
1. Select “Copy Disc”
Once launched, select “Copy Disc” from the left sidebar.
2. Select DVD drive
- Insert the DVD you wish to copy into your drive and select it.
- The program will then check the disc and display a green checkmark if the disc is readable.
- Click “Next” to proceed.
3. Read source DVD
The disc contents will now be temporarily copied to your hard disk. Please ensure you have at least 6 GB free space on your hard disk for that.
- The blue progress bar provides visual feedback on current progress.
- Once it is full, click “Next”.
4. Burn target DVD
Remove the current DVD from your drive and insert a blank DVD to write to.
- You may now have to select your disc recorder in case you used a different drive to read the source data.
- Once the program has validated your recordable, a green checkmark will appear.
- Then, click “Write DVD” to start burning the new disc.
5. Burning process
- The blue progress bar provides visual feedback on current progress.
- Once it full, a notification will appear. Click “OK” to close it.
- Use “Exit” to close the program, if needed.

- Use the options under “Next Step” to decide what to do next. For example, you can write the same disc again.
