Balabolka Software

Balabolka is a Russian word, it can be translated as “chatterer“.

It will come with the Microsoft Anna voice and generous features, such as Clipboard monitor, text extraction, batch file conversion, spellchecker along with speech rate, pitch and volume adjustment

You can change the voice speed and tone, as well as the voice itself. It comes with two standard speakers (male and female), although you can use any other voices stored in your computer. If you don’t want to read a long text and you prefer to listen to it.

The program uses various versions of Microsoft Speech API (SAPI): it allows altering a voice’s parameters, including rate and pitch. The user can apply a special substitution list to improve the quality of the voice’s articulation. This feature is useful when you want to change the spelling of words. The rules for the pronunciation correction use the syntax of regular expressions.

It can save the synchronized text in external LRC files or in MP3 tags inside the audio files. When an audio file is played with players on a computer or on modern digital audio players, the text is displayed synchronously (in the same way, as lyrics for songs).

This free text to speech software allows using the spell-checking built-in in the operating system. The Spell Checking API is available beginning with Windows 8.
